Monday Made It - My Second One

I’m linking up again with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics for her famous Monday Made It linky.

I have two small things that I made that I would like to share this week.  I have been working on some other great projects to share with you next week.  They still are in need of some love.

My first one is my sharpened and dull pencil box holders.  I know this may not be exciting, but I used my Cricut for the first time and it took me FOR-EVER to complete this simple project.

In past years I had been using my mother’s Cricut and she was right there guiding me through it and making color and design suggestions.  I was on my own this time and I am pleased at how they turned out.

I purchased the cardboard like boxes from Michael’s Craft Store.  They were on clearance for $1.09 each.  They came with a top, but I will be handing them over to my mother.  She is crafty and will find something to do with them.

My second project was also made with the Cricut machine.  Don’t even ask how long this took!  I am ashamed to admit it out loud.

It was like purchasing clothes for myself.  Don’t ever go clothes shopping with me. I can spend 6 hours in the mall and come out with only a shirt and pretzel sticks from Auntie Anne’s Pretzels to show for my time.

I plan on using them on my word study bulletin board.  I will share the board with you in August when I return to work in my classroom.  I refuse to enter my building the month of July.  I will work from home, but time away is good for me.

(The background paper behind my pictures is a part of Ashley Hughes’s collection.  It is called "Grab Your Glow Sticks".  You can find it here.  I love her papers!)

Stop by Tara’s blog - 4th Grade Frolics and take a look at all of the wonderful things others have created.

Don’t forget to stop by at the end of the week to help me celebrate 100+ followers on Bloglovin’.  I need to figure out how to set it all up on the blog.  If anyone knows of a good tutorial, please point me in the right direction.

Thank you all for your support.

  4. Both your projects look great! I have a Silhouette (similar to a Cricut) so I'm excited to find another blogger that uses this type of resource for the classroom!
